4–8 slices bread
600 g finely chopped or scraped beef for tartare (filet, false filet, loin, sirloin)
1 tablespoon capers
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon quality ketchup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
4 pcs egg yolks
1 pc small onion, ideally shallot
4 cloves garlic
salt and freshly ground pepper
Recipe steps
Make the toast dry in the pan, or put the bread in the oven for a while.
Mix ground, scraped, or chopped meat with chopped capers, finely chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, and egg yolks. Don't forget the salt and pepper and mix well.
Serve on toast rubbed with garlic.
