250 g fat
250 g soft cottage cheese (not from a tub)
1 pinch of salt
Filling
8 apples
bread crumbs
50 g grated gingerbread
cinnamon
granulated sugar
raisins
chopped nuts
Additionally
1 egg for brushing
fat for greasing the baking tray
powdered sugar for the surface
Recipe steps
From butter, cottage cheese, flour, and salt, we create a dough that we can let rest in the refrigerator overnight.
We grease the baking sheet and preheat the oven to 175 °C in time.
We divide the dough into three equal parts. From each part, we roll out a layer which we sprinkle with breadcrumbs and grated gingerbread. On top, we then place peeled and grated apples, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and nuts.
We roll up the dough and place it on the baking sheet.
Before baking, we brush the strudels with beaten egg and bake them for approximately 30 minutes. After baking, we sprinkle them with sugar.
