Ingredients (what you need)

150 g dry chickpeas
1 dcl cold chickpea broth
4 cloves garlic
0.5 dcl olive oil
1 lemon
salt
ground cumin
100 g tahini sesame paste

Recipe steps

First, rinse the chickpeas thoroughly and soak them overnight. The next day, cook them in the same pot for about 1 hour. Don’t forget to slightly salt the water. The chickpeas should be completely soft. Then, drain them and let them cool. Do not discard the water.

Blend the soft, cooked chickpeas with garlic, lemon, smooth broth, cumin, and salt into a fine paste.

Only now add the sesame paste tahini. The hummus will blend beautifully and gain flavor.

Serve the chickpea spread in a bowl, so everyone can scoop their portion themselves. Perhaps on bread drizzled with olive oil.
