Baked trout

We often cook trout for dinner or as a refreshing lunch. Its meat is delicate both in texture and flavor, and therefore we should not cover it with strong seasoning ingredients.

1 trout
20 g butter
1 tablespoon oil
2 onions
salt
caraway seeds
plain flour
Recipe steps
We thoroughly clean the trout, salt it, and also add caraway seeds inside. Then we coat it in flour.
We peel the onion and slice it into rings. We place some rings inside the trout and use the rest to arrange around the fish.
In a pan, we heat the butter; we can also add a tablespoon of oil to prevent the butter from burning.
We place the trout in a baking dish, sprinkle it with thin slices of butter, and bake it uncovered for 20–30 minutes (depending on the size of the trout), until the surface turns golden brown.
