Zucchini cabbage stew
If you still have plenty of zucchini in your garden, you will certainly appreciate another way to process them. Zucchini sauerkraut is delicious and offers a great alternative…
Ingredients (what you need)
2 larger zucchinis
1 onion
butter
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
sugar
vinegar
caraway seeds
salt
Recipe steps
Peel the zucchini and if they do not have large seeds yet, grate them coarsely. For larger zucchinis, first scoop out the seeds before grating.
Place the grated zucchini in a strainer, sprinkle with salt, and let it drain for about half an hour.
Sauté the chopped onion in butter, add a tablespoon of flour, and sauté briefly. Then add the zucchini, caraway seeds, sugar, and vinegar to taste.
Cook for a maximum of 5 minutes, so that the zucchini remains firm and does not collapse.
