Ingredients (what you need)
For the chicken
3-4 chicken breasts
salt
ground pepper (to taste)
1 cup cornstarch
2 eggs (beaten)
1/4 cup oil (for frying)
For the sauce
3/4 cup sugar
4 tablespoons ketchup
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
Recipe steps
Cut the chicken breasts into smaller pieces and season with salt and pepper.
First, coat the chicken in cornstarch and then in beaten eggs. Quickly fry in oil until golden brown (do not overcook). Then arrange them in a single layer in a baking dish.
Mix the sugar, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Brush the chicken with this sauce.
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for an hour at 160 °C. Stir the chicken every 15 minutes.
If we want to make an additional portion of sauce, mix another quantity of ingredients and bring them to a boil on the stove. Then simmer on a lower heat for about 6-8 minutes until the sauce thickens.
