Classic cream for drizzling over pastries, cakes, and rice dishes.
Ingredients (what you need)
200 g powdered sugar
1 pc lemon
250 ml Marsala wine
5 pcs egg yolks
Recipe steps
From the washed lemon, we grate the zest. We separate the yolks from the whites. Then we beat the yolks with powdered sugar until the cream turns white and fluffy. We mix in the zest and the wine.
We then place the bowl in a pot with hot water and continue on this water bath. We keep stirring until the cream thickens. We let it simmer for a while until the shodó has the right consistency.
We can use it immediately to pour over our dishes. We can also add a little rum.
