Moroccan Women
Moroccan pastries are a very popular type of sweets that almost everyone enjoys. If you like candied fruit, nuts, and chocolate, you will definitely…
Ingredients (what you need)
125 ml milk
120 g coarsely chopped walnuts (or unsalted peanuts)
200 g candied fruit
70 g butter
70 g powdered sugar
30 g all-purpose flour
Additionally
fat (for greasing the baking tray)
coarse flour (for dusting the baking tray)
bitter chocolate (for glazing)
Recipe steps
In a pot, we mix milk, chopped walnuts, candied fruit, butter, and sugar. While constantly stirring, we cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
We stir in the all-purpose flour and cook it for about 2 minutes, then let it cool down.
Preheat the oven to 150 °C.
Grease the baking tray and sprinkle it with coarse flour. Using a round cookie cutter, we create outlines of circles on the tray, one next to the other, and in these marked spots, we use a spoon to apply and shape the mixture.
We bake the marokánky in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until they turn a light brown color.
We melt the chocolate over steam.
We place the cooled marokánky on a plate lined with baking paper, coat them with the melted chocolate on top, and let them harden.
