Leaf Apple Strudel

We wash, peel, and grate the apples on a coarse grater, from which we squeeze out the juice.

1 kg apple
1 package puff pastry
1 package vanilla sugar
for brushing egg yolks
to taste ground cinnamon
raisins
as needed powdered sugar
water
breadcrumbs
all-purpose flour
Recipe steps
On a floured surface, we roll out the puff pastry, which we sprinkle with breadcrumbs and then add grated apples on top. We sprinkle this with ground cinnamon, vanilla sugar, and raisins. We roll it into a strudel and transfer it to a floured baking sheet. We should make 2 strudels from the dough, which we brush with beaten egg yolk on the baking sheet and poke with a toothpick to prevent the strudels from cracking.
We place it in the oven at 180°C and bake for 20-30 minutes. When the strudels turn a nice golden brown, we are done.
When we take them out of the oven, we let them cool for a moment, then decorate with powdered sugar and slice.
