It warms, satisfies, aromas. That is soup. Ideal for dreary weather. We cook a full pot and feed the whole family.

Ingredients (what you need)

Mushrooms - fresh or dried (soaked) handful
6 medium-sized potatoes
250 ml sour cream
4 whole eggs
for thickening - plain flour
a bit of dill
pinch salt
2 bay leaves
whole caraway seeds
allspice
pinch black ground pepper
for seasoning about 2 tablespoons of vinegar

Recipe steps

It's bleak outside and we are cooking. We will fill the whole apartment with aroma and everyone will gather around one table. In today's fast-paced world, this is a rare occurrence. But who knows, perhaps the great South Bohemian kulajda will be the one that brings you together at the table.

We will take a large pot. The bigger, the better. We will bring water to a boil and season it with salt. We will peel the potatoes and clean the mushrooms. If we have dried mushrooms, we need to soak them in advance for a while. We will chop both and add them to the pot to boil. We will season with bay leaf, allspice, caraway seeds, and a pinch of black ground pepper.

We will take a bowl and pour in the cream. We will add plain flour and whisk it together. We will mix this mixture into the base. Finally, we will add a bit of dill. We will take some vinegar that we have on hand and season it slightly and add more salt. Just a little bit. And what next? Eggs. There are several options. We can hard-boil the eggs and add them sliced to the soup. Or we can make poached eggs. In salted, boiling water seasoned with vinegar, we will cook raw eggs and remove them after a few minutes. We will toast a baguette or other bread as a side for the soup.

We will set a nice table and serve the soup with eggs. We will garnish with parsley. What do you say? A feast for the eyes and the taste buds.
