Decorated almond gingerbread cookies

We bake gingerbread about 10 days before Christmas.
Ingredients (what you need)
250 g honey
200 g peeled almonds
500 g all-purpose flour
60 g butter
150 g powdered sugar
1 packet gingerbread spice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
for decoration sugar decorations
almonds
raisins
for brushing 1 pc egg
as needed milk
all-purpose flour for dusting
fat for greasing
Recipe steps
We mix the flour with sugar, gingerbread spice, finely grated almonds, and lemon zest. Then we add melted honey and melted butter. We work everything into a non-sticky, cohesive dough. If the dough is too stiff, we add warm milk.
Gingerbread spice can be replaced with cloves, allspice, star anise, and cinnamon.
Then we roll out the dough into a flat sheet, from which we cut out various shapes with cookie cutters, which we then place on a greased baking tray and brush with beaten egg. We decorate with an almond, nut, or raisin.
We place the tray in a preheated oven at 150°C and bake until golden.
We let the gingerbreads cool and store them in a cool, dark place to mature.
