Excellent yeast dumplings that are like from a fairy tale.

Ingredients (what you need)

dough
500 g all-purpose flour
2 pcs egg yolk
100 g powdered sugar
1 dl oil
250 ml milk
42 g yeast
salt

filling
1 milk
ladyfingers
250 g cottage cheese
egg yolk
powdered sugar
poppy seeds
filling 2 powdered sugar
1 pcs vanilla sugar

Recipe steps

Make a well in the flour and let the yeast rise in it. Sprinkle salt around the edges of the flour. After the yeast has risen, gradually add the remaining ingredients and knead into a smooth dough. Let it rise for about an hour. During the rising process, knead the dough twice.

From the risen dough, form balls on the work surface. Once all the dough is used, start flattening the balls into discs and fill them with the filling. Close the buns and place them closely next to each other in an oiled baking dish. Then let them rise for another 10 minutes. Brush the tops of the buns with oil and place them in the oven. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 22 minutes. Buns with cottage cheese filling should be baked a little longer. Once done, sprinkle the buns with powdered sugar.

F fillings

Poppy seed: Scald the poppy seeds in milk with sugar. Sweeten with powdered sugar and thicken with crushed biscuits.

Cottage cheese: Mix the cottage cheese with vanilla sugar and the egg yolk. Sweeten with powdered sugar if necessary and add raisins.
