Homemade muesli bars

Over a low flame and while constantly stirring, we melt the honey with the butter. Gradually, we add the sugar. We do this for about 5 minutes. Then we increase the heat for a moment to let the mixture caramelize a bit. Now we add the flakes and the rest of the prepared ingredients, such as chopped nuts, dried fruit, etc., to taste.
Ingredients (what you need)
350 g rolled oats
250 g dried fruit or nuts
140 g honey
250 g brown sugar
175 g butter
Recipe steps
We mix everything well to ensure it all combines properly. We then place it on a baking sheet or dish lined with parchment paper. We use a dry, warmed spoon to press the mixture down so that it is about 1 cm high.
We bake in the oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes until the edges turn brown. After removing it, we take it off the paper from the sheet and place it in the freezer for an hour, or in the fridge if there's no space, so that the bars are easier to cut.
The cut pieces can then be served immediately.
