Strawberry syrup

Washed and hulled strawberries are placed into a pot with lukewarm water and mashed. The pot is then placed in a water bath and the strawberry juice is warmed for 1 hour. Then, the juice is strained through a cheesecloth.
Ingredients (what you need)
2 kg strawberries
120 - 140 g granulated sugar
150 ml water
Recipe steps
We measure the juice and for every half liter, we add 400g of sugar. We put the juice and sugar in a pot and bring it to a boil. We stir occasionally and boil for a maximum of 5 minutes. If we boil it longer, the syrup will start to gel.
We pour the finished syrup into warmed bottles, cork them, and then store them chilled. This way, the syrup will last about 6 months.
