We cut the rabbit, fill it with garlic, place it in a baking dish, season it, salt it, and sprinkle it with ground caraway seeds. We add chopped potatoes and oil. We can prepare this the night before.
We bake it covered, for up to 2 hours as needed, occasionally stirring or adding water.
After about an hour of baking, we add slices of bacon.
We bake uncovered for about 20 minutes.
