Ingredients (what you need)
600 g pork shoulder or neck
250 g pure peeled zucchini
2 onions
1 tablespoon coarse mustard
1 level tablespoon sweet paprika
1 tablespoon lard
100 ml cream
ground caraway
5 allspice berries
1 bay leaf
salt
pepper
broth or water + bouillon
Recipe steps
Cut the meat into larger pieces, the onion into smaller pieces, and grate the zucchini coarsely. Sauté the onion in lard and then add the meat.
After browning on all sides, add the mustard and sauté briefly. Then stir in the paprika and after a while, add the zucchini. Season with spices and pour in liquid up to three-quarters high.
Cook the meat covered until completely tender. The zucchini will break down and thicken. Continuously monitor the sauce, stirring occasionally and adding liquid as needed.
Finally, add the cream and briefly bring to a boil. Adjust the sauce to taste and serve with dumplings, pasta, or just with bread.
