Cabbage patties with meat baked in the oven
Are you interested in cabbage? Prepare cabbage meatballs for lunch. First, cook it and then mix it with onion, bacon, and ground meat, and finally bake it.
Ingredients (what you need)
1 cabbage (approx. 1 kg)
300 g ground meat
2 rolls
a little milk
100 g lean bacon
1 onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
2 eggs
salt
freshly ground pepper
marjoram (preferably fresh green)
breadcrumbs as needed
a little oil
Recipe steps
Prepare a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
Cut the bacon into small pieces and clean and dice the onion.
Tear the rolls into pieces and soak them in milk until well soaked.
Wash the cabbage, cut it into quarters, remove the hard part, and boil it in salted water until soft.
Drain and let it cool and drain thoroughly. Then cut it into thin strips with a knife.
Fry the bacon in a pan. If there isn’t enough fat, add oil and sauté the onion until pink. Then let it cool down.
Peel the garlic and mash it with salt.
In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, pieces of bread, sautéed onion with bacon, garlic, cabbage, pepper, and marjoram. Season with salt to taste, add the eggs, and mix everything thoroughly. If the mixture is too runny, thicken it with breadcrumbs.
Form the mixture into patties and place them on the baking sheet. Then brush them with oil using a brush.
Bake for about 20 minutes, then pull out the sheet, carefully flip the patties, and finish baking on the other side.
